Vada R. Blosser, 95, Wakarusa, died 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at her home. She was born December 7, 1926, in St. Joseph County, to Charles & Goldie (Weldy) Wenger. On March 1, 1947, she married C. Raymond Blosser and he died November 17, 2003. Surviving are daughters, Ilene Blosser, Wakarusa, Karen Slaven, New Paris, Cheryl (Bruce) Rechtsteiner, Wakarusa, son, Randy (Gail) Blosser, Goshen, 7 grandchildren, Dan (Cha), Dwayne, Adria, Abraham (Heather), Matthew, Naomi (Tom), Isaac (Grace), 7 great-grandchildren, siblings, Phyllis (Larry) Stauffer, Goshen, Larry (Terri) Wenger, Scottsdale, Arizona, sisters in law, Marlene Wenger, Wilma Wenger, Carolyn Wenger and a brother in law, John Nunemaker. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, Raymond, son in law, Dallas Slaven, siblings, Faye Yoder, Myrtle Kehr, Leota Yoder, Lester Wenger, Charles “Chuck” Wenger, Doris Nunemaker, Helen Alexander, David Wenger and Kenny Wenger. Vada worked as a waitress at area restaurants and helped on the family farm. She was a member of Yellow Creek Mennonite Church and volunteered at The Depot and World Missionary Press. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2022, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, all at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, 64901 CR 11, Goshen. Pastor Wes Bontreger will officiate. Burial will follow at Yellow Creek Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart.
