Lillian Ann Braun Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lillian Ann Braun, 84 of Goshen, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Goshen Hospital. She was born January 11, 1937 in Hartford City, IN to Edgar and Elsie (Tilmans) Gillis. She married Donaven D. Braun on June 4, 1970 in Dunkirk, IN. Surviving is her husband Donaven, two daughters, Lillian (Mike) Stutzman, Wakarusa and Ann (Kirk) Eisert, Goshen, two sons Donaven (Fiancée Christie Fox)Braun, Afton, TN, and Daniel (Cheri) Braun, Indianapolis, 9 grandchildren, two sisters Elise Kerr, Lafayette, and Alice Gillis, Eaton, Brother Richard (Renee) Gillis, Eaton along with a sister in law Pat Gillis, Eaton She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Edgar Gillis Jr., infant daughter Ann Bernadette and brother-in-law William Kerr Before her marriage she taught in the Catholic School System. Since the children left the nest she had enjoyed being Sacristan at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Bristol, where she was a long time member, and spending time with the family. A year ago Lillian moved into the Maria Center in Donaldson, IN where she enjoyed helping Sister Connie serve the poor. A funeral mass will be 1 pm Thursday, December 2, 2021 at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 411 W. Vistula St. Bristol, IN 46507. There will be a gathering an hour prior for friends and family. Reverend Father Robert Van Kempen will officiate. Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions can be given to Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ to support their Volunteer Food Ministry, PO Box 1 Donaldson, IN 46513.
