Kathy Anne Yoder Weaver Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kathy Anne Yoder Weaver, 71, went to be with the Lord, 6:49 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020, after 8 years of dealing with primary peritoneal cancer. Kathy was born April 22, 1949 in Louisville, Ohio, to the late Paul and Nola Yoder. She married Jon D. Weaver on May 29, 1982, who survives along with a son, Micah (Justine), sisters, Sharon, Loxahatchee, Florida and Rhonda of Canton, Ohio. Kathy graduated from Central Christian High School, Kidron, Ohio and from Hesston College, Hesston, Kansas with a degree in Nursing. During her nursing career, she worked for Elkhart General Hospital, Liberty Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, and the Elkhart County Health Department. She worked for Dr. Mishkin for 35 years. She also did bookkeeping for Martins Pet & Garden Center for 25 years. Kathy loved her family and friends and especially her son, Micah. She loved to laugh and have fun. She was a kind and caring person helping many people out throughout her life. She was an active member of Pie Gabba Sew Extension Homemakers Club, and active with the “GYNA-Girls”, an organization for the education and awareness of ovarian type cancers. She volunteered with Hugs of Elkhart County and the Starfish Project. She was a member of the Dunlap United Methodist Bell Choir. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Dunlap United Methodist Church and will be officiated by the Rev. Melissa Englehart and by the Rev.
