Jesse Lee Gamble Jr., 74, Elkhart, died Thursday, November 12, 2020 at his home. He was born Oct. 15, 1946, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Jesse Lee & Cora Lou (Fascion) Gamble Sr. In 1982, he married Angela (Townsend) Gamble. Surviving are his wife, Angela, Elkhart, son, Phinease (Angel) Watts, Louisville, Kentucky, grandchildren, Phinease Hall, Cameryn Watts, Jason Jackson, Jasmine Jackson, Christian Jackson, Ashland Williams, great-grandchild, Romeris Hinkle, siblings, Ira Jay Gamble, Niles, Michigan, Linda Gamble Frost, Arkansas, Flora Mae Carothers, South Bend, Jackie Harris, Houston, Texas and a favorite nephew, Tavarri “Chopper” Robinson. Preceding him in death are his parents, daughter, Coricia Lee Gamble, brother, Harvey Gamble, sisters, Flora Moore, Martell Barnett and Eva Morrison. Jesse served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He was an inspector at Vincent Bach, retiring after 40 years. Jesse loved watching western movies, family BBQ’s, watching sports, especially the Bears and the Raiders. Visitation will be one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Agape Missionary Baptist Church, 248 W. Wolf Ave., Elkhart. Entombment will follow at Rice Cemetery.
